1) Interview your kids…what do they think Thanksgiving is for? What are they thankful for? etc.
Well since I don’t have kids of my own, I borrowed some to get their answers to these questions!
Aiden (6): For people to come and see people who are thankful for you! Thankful for you (Cori), yes I’m thankful for you [how sweet!!]
Annika (3): I don’t know! I’m thankful for YOUUUUU [her mom], CONNOR and AIDEN *giggle*!
Connor (6): We celebrate because Christopher Columbus sailed the world! I’m thankful for my pets.
Gabrielle (3): We’re celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow for fun! I’m thankful for trucks, quesadillas and my sissy!
Jack (3): I dunno! I’m thankful for mac ‘n cheese, Patti…Sophie too!
Madison (4): Because its Fall and because the leaves are falling off the trees. I’m thankful for my family and my friends!
MacKenzie (3): I don’t know! I’m thankful for you, Cori [thanks, but stop copying your brother, pick something else!]… I’m thankful for mommy!
Nate (3): I’m gonna spend Thanksgiving with my mama! I’m thankful for my mommy and daddy!
Sophia (8): To give thanks to everybody. It’s the day that the Indians helped the Pilgrims plant corn, I’m guessing? I’m thankful for my friends and family, and my pets!
Julia & Alec (honorary kids): We are thankful for adoption!!
Apparently, we need to spend more time with our preschool aged friends teaching them about Thanksgiving lol!! Oh well!
Wishing You A Happy Thanksgiving!!!
