#CatchTheMoment 365–Year in Review

365button150_zps9914a76e

I did it, I finally completed my Catch the Moment 365 Year in Review!  It’s not 100% right, but I’m tired of fighting with the program I’m using to get it perfect and at this point don’t really care.  Okay, that’s not 100% true, more that I’m running out of time before I leave on my cruise on Thursday!

Thank you Mindi at Simply Stavish, Sarah at Nurse Loves Farmer, and Stephanie at Behind the Camera and Dreaming for being amazing hosts and pushing me to complete the challenge no matter how behind I got!  I’m happy I was able to complete the challenge!

Catch the Moment 365

Now that my photo challenge is over, guess what happens Thursday?!?  I board a plane from Seattle to ROME!!!!

Yes, Rome!

On Saturday I will embark on a 21 day Mediterranean Cruise!  I am so excited and ready to go!  Well, I’m ready to go but I’m not ready to go if you know what I mean!  I’m 85% packed and started prepping all my electronics for the 9.5 hours flight to Amsterdam and then a 1.5 hour flight into Rome.  I hate packing, so this part is extremely painful for me, but this too shall pass and soon I’ll be on my way to the Mediterranean!  Bring it on!

I plan on blogging each night of my cruise; the posts most likely will be quick with just a couple photos, but still fun to post and share.  So make sure you come back and follow my journey!

See you in Rome (or on the way!).

Week 52!  Week 52!  Lookie it’s Week 52 of my Catch the Moment 365 Photo Challenge!

This was one massive project for me, one that I was starting to think I would never officially finish!  I went strong posting these blog posts weekly through July, but suddenly life started to get in the way and I got behind, way behind.  It may be eight weeks into 2015, but who cares I’m finally done and posting my final week of the photo challenge photos!

365 photos taken in 2014.  One photo every day for an entire year.  Wow.  I did it!

This post shares my final week of 2014, but I will post one more recap blog post to show the entire year.  But the end is near and I’m ready to move forward into 2015!  Enjoy my final week of 2014 through photos and stay tuned for my Catch the Moment 365 recap!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Oh wait, what’s that date say?  February 16th?!  Hmmm….guess I’m slightly late! The good news is it Week 51 of my 365 day photo challenge from 2014!  It may be mid-February, but I’m still plowing away at getting the photos blogged, but I did complete the challenge!  I *hope* to get my final week of photos up this week and then my rewind post shortly there after!

February 16th also has an important day in my house and this year even more!  Today is my parents 30th Wedding Anniversary!  Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!

In the meantime, back to Christmastime!

#CatchTheMoment365; Week 50

post-day351-dec17.png

What do you know, it’s already January 13th (Happy Birthday Brandi).  I started out the year blogging strong, well I blogged on day 2, but nothing since.  That’s kind of how life has gone for me in general.  I figured that once the hustle and bustle of the holidays were over I’d get a break and reprieve before life got crazy again.  Not so much.  2015 came roaring in past 2014.

*Sigh*

With that being said, I’m still behind on last year’s photo challenge.  I am proud to say that I took a photo every day for 365 days, the blogging is what is slightly behind!  This week’s photos are from Week 50 of 2014, December 12 – 18th.  This was my final week of work before getting some time off for the holidays and working from home.

#CatchTheMoment365; Week 49

post-day343-dec9_thumb.png

Whoa, look that’s two posts in two days.  Something must be terribly wrong with me!  No, more like tomorrow is December 31st and I’m three weeks behind on posting my Catch the Moment photos to the blog.  I had hope to get all caught up, but it just never happened.  The good news is the last three weeks won’t be far behind!

Week 49 contained a lot of Christmas from movies, looking at Christmas lights, putting up the tree and helping at a holiday gift program that allowed parents in need to pick out new gifts for the kids.  It was truly a magical week!

Oh, and make sure you stop by tomorrow to see my 2014 in Review post!  Yes, that will make it three days in a row, maybe even one on January 1st!  Look out!

#CatchTheMoment365; Week 48

post-day337-dec3.png

Oh my, December 29th, how can that be?  How has it been nearly a month since I posted my Week 47 photos?  Oh wait, one word. Christmas.

Like always Christmas came in like a whirlwind leaving destruction of family, presents, food, wrapping paper and overall mess in her path.

That’s how it’s been 25 days since my last post.

Well, actually I can’t blame it all on Christmas, the other factor was work.  Between December 8 and 19th, I worked way to many hours to count between helping the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank with their Holiday Gift Barn program and Eastside Baby Corner’s dreaded End of Year Inventory, I worked a lot.  The minute I was done with that it was Christmas.

I don’t think I’ve had a second to myself in four weeks.  December will do that to you!  But here was are December 29th, 2014, just 3 days before 2015.  That is crazy.  2015. Mindboggling.

But, before I can make it to 2015, I have some Catch the Moment 365 photos to catch-up on and this post takes us back to the end of November – early December!

Oh and a quick note, on my Wednesday, December 3rd post below I include the link to a Komo News story on Rick Rizzs’ Toys for Kids’ program and how Eastside Baby Corner benefited as a non-profit partner!  Watch the story and see how cool it was to be given $5,000 to shop at Toys ‘R Us for kids in need!  Click HERE or on the photo below to watch the story.

Checkout that date. December 4, 2014. D.E.C.E.M.B.E.R. The 12th Month of the Year.

I love December, it’s the best month of the year, well after August!  I love all the decorations, festivities, time with friends & family, music, remembering Christ, and the presents aren’t that bad either! But before that I have a crazy December ahead of me.

I will be working 60+ hour weeks for the next couple during the busiest time of the year at Eastside Baby Corner.  One of my biggest jobs is coordinating collection drives and 80% of them care delivered in December.  Actually let me rephrase that, 80% of them come in on one day and this year that date is December 18th, the last day we accept donations for 2014.  On top of that we have to do a full inventory of our 8,000 +/- square foot warehouse which always brings out the best in me.  And this year I’m helping the local food bank during their holiday giving program.  Work during December is going to be insane, but before I know it it will be gone, Christmas will be over and we will be waking up in 2015 and that is crazy talk!

post-day321-nov17_thumb.png

Look at this, I am posting week 46 during week 46!  Yay!

Week 46 included The March of Dimes’ World Prematurity Day on November 17th.  Over the past several years I have participated as a blogger for the event, but this year I wasn’t able to join in.  However, I made sure I participated on Twitter and my picture of the day was four, well eight, of the closest preemies to me.  If you want to read more about these preemies and their stories check out the links below:

Each one of these preemies left a lasting impression on me and my heart.  It’s amazing to see how such fragile babies can grow up to me such strong and amazing little people!  These are some amazing success stories and I love each one of them!
