Last week I mentioned that I broke down and purchased a new battery for my Fitbit. I’m cheap and wanted to use as much of the battery up as I could before putting the new one in. However on Wednesday I waited to long and my battery died…even worse I lost steps.
Yes, I had been warned and should have just inserted the new battery when I bought it but I didn’t. As I left work on Wednesday afternoon I checked my Fitbit and I was at about 8,000 steps but it never would sync to my phone. At that point I decided I needed to replace the battery, the time had come. By the time I got home and got around to changing it, it had already died Not only had it died, but I lost 4,000 steps. Since I hadn’t synced it with my phone for several hours it didn’t register the last 4,000 steps I had done.
Sigh. This week I get an asterisk by my Wednesday total. Officially my Fitbit read 4,097 so that’s what I recorded for my daily total, but I know that I was at 8,000 steps….annoying. Oh well, lesson learned. I say that a lot don’t I? One would think I’d learn!
Other than losing steps, week 14 wasn’t one of my best, but I’m still on track to hit my 1 millionth step soon! Wahooo!

I have designed a goal thermometer that I will change each week on my blog to show my progress. You will also be able to quickly see an update on a permanent thermometer on my sidebar. I’m excited to see how long it will take me to walk 1,000,000 steps!
