My Dad’s Thoughts on My Big Mouth

Wednesday night, I graciously invited myself over to my parents house for dinner and insisted on having one of my favorite meals.  I thought it would be nice and spend some time with them.  I figured my parents missed their favorite daughter!  Even if they were out of my favorite salad dressing, but I’m not complaining ;)

I’m a giver, what can I say?

Since it had been a whole 24 hours since I’d seen them and just hours since I had bugged them about dinner, I figured I owed them a nice dinner conversation.  So what did I do?  I jumped right in and talked about my favorite topic … myself of course!

(Remember, it’s no secret I’m vain!)

I was maybe two breaths in and about 5,000 words later (I talk fast!), my loving father asks me in all honesty….

Dad: How have you been feeling lately?

Cori: I’ve been feeling great, thanks. (Now ready to move back to talking about my test I took yesterday…)

Dad: Are you still taking your medication?? (I take Prozac for anxiety issues)

Cori: Yes! Anyway…

Dad: Are you sure? Because it doesn’t seem to be working?

Gee Dad, Thanks!

Lucky for him, my sister Alex jumps in and goes … or maybe not?

Alex: Yeah, you are awfully hyper and happy tonight!

It’s a good thing that I know my dad’s evil sense of humor and that he was only trying to achieve one thing … to make everyone laugh and lucky for him we all burst out laughing!  He said it so dead serious, that it came off guard.

It’s so nice to know that I’m so loved!

Oh and I Love My Daddy, even if he does make fun of me!!
